Stephanie Terelak’s nonrepresentational urban works establish a psychological narrative. With emotional intensity, she confronts her personal history and transmutes it into color, light and pattern. She has studied with Sonia Gechtoff at the National Academy of Design in New York and was recognized by R.C. Baker in The Village Voice last spring as one of New York City’s “blue ribbon” picks for top art students in 2008.
